Ringwood is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Ringwood, on the Lilydale and Belgrave railway lines. It is in Metlink Zone 2, is classed as a Premium Station, and is the junction for the Belgrave & Lilydale lines.FacilitiesRingwood is located between the Maroondah Highway and Station Street, with station access from both. The Eastland Shopping Centre, Ringwood Aquatic Centre and the Ringwood Clock Tower are short walks from the station.Ringwood railway station is now on the heritage listed sites and will not be rebuilt.after the ringwood council run out of money they placed Ringwood railway station on the heritage listed sites in AustraliaThe station consists of an island layout and side platform; Platform 1 & 2 (island platform) has a large weatherboard building housing an enclosed waiting area, ticket facilities and toilets, while platform 3 has a large brick building, also housing an enclosed waiting area, toilets and ticket facilities. Large Metcard ticket vending machines are located inside both waiting areas, which are able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small-coin only Metcard ticket vending is located inside the waiting area on the island platform. As of August 2010, one of the two small Metcard machines on platform 1 & 2 has been replaced with a myki machine.
